Unfortunately, our 2020 trips are on hold due to the COVID virus and unrest in Haiti. Despite not having trips, Ebenezer DTC continues on. If you would like to donate to our school and staff who have been affected by the pandemic, click the donate button on the homepage or Get Involved page. Contact Us for more information on future trips and how you can help in the meantime.
*Forms for our Discipleship Immersion Trips, including a cost estimate, can be found at the bottom of this page.*
"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me." Isaiah 6:8
Teams will be joining up with some partner ministries of Ebenezer DTC including Canaan Christian Community in Montrois and missionary Tony Jones in Grand Goave. There will be a variety of ways to serve including visiting homes, orphanage care, medical clinic, medika mamba clinic, visiting villages in the mountain, hospital visits, helping at recycling collection center, and whatever other opportunities the Lord gives us. We will start and end every day with worship and devotions. The trips are not about doing, they are about growing in Christ. We encourage our Haitian brothers and sisters in Christ and are encouraged by them, too. God will be showing you what He is doing in Haiti!
We have many projects between Ebenezer DTC and our partner ministries that have been put on the back burner for some time. God has shown us a way to incorporate tradesmen and others who like to serve in Haiti with their labor and still abide by the purpose of Ebenezer DTC. Prior to entering the country work project team members would raise the support for their trip and an additional $500 which would go to the supplies of their specific project. Supplies would be arranged and purchased prior to the teams arrival. Once in the country, these teams would begin the project with Haitian workers. During this time, training will take place and relationships with be made with the Haitian workers. While the majority of the projects will not be finished in one week, team members will leave confidently knowing the Haitian workers will finish the project and have work for some time to provide for themselves and their families. Similar to the Vision Trips, teams will experience what God is doing in Haiti and leave encouraged.
-Short term teams are partners with Ebenezer DTC.
-The purpose of our short term mission teams is relational.
-We want you to experience Haiti to the fullest, from the great people to the beautiful landscape.
-No trip is the same and each team will have different experiences.
-We strongly encourage the team to be flexible and serve the needs of the ministry. This could entail painting houses that were donated, helping out at Ramase Lajan, playing with kids, or putting on a VBS for Ebenezer churches in the area. In addition, you will experience Haiti by going on mountain hikes, visiting a beach, going to the market, and visiting tent cities and the people around Petit Goave. We are also open to your ideas.
-We hope that upon return home to the states, the teams will have a renewed passion to obey and live out the Great Commission in their schools, homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
